Reflecting on My PR Journey: Growth, Gratitude & Career Highlights

As I prepare to step into my next role, I’ve been taking a moment to reflect — scrolling back through old posts, remembering the trade shows, media events, partnerships, and campaigns that have shaped my public relations (PR) career so far. Each milestone, big or small, reminds me just how much growth can happen when you love what you do.

There’s a certain magic that comes with working in PR — that rush you get when a pitch lands, a story takes off, or a brand moment comes to life. I’ve always loved that no two days in PR ever look the same, presenting endless learning opportunities while navigating changing (and challenging) landscapes. With that, there’s also nothing quite like seeing your work come to life in top-tier media placements. The thrill never fades when you see that story go live… at least it hasn’t for me.

As I reflect on my wins so far, I wanted to share my top five highlights I’m especially proud of throughout my PR journey (though this barely scratches the surface!).

  1. Heading to Napa? The 4 Best Places to Have a Drink in Downtown – Robb Report (Client: Downtown Napa)
  2. Women’s National Football Conference’s IX Championship Cup – CBS Saturday Mornings (Client: Women’s National Football Conference)
  3. 20 Best Places to Visit in April – Good Housekeeping (Client: North Lake Tahoe)
  4. How to Eat a Mango 8 Different Ways – Real Simple (Client: National Mango Board)
  5. The 11 Best Things To Do In Bastrop, Texas – Southern Living (Client: Visit Bastrop)

As I look ahead to what’s next, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for every lesson along the way. The beauty of working in PR is that it’s ever-evolving, just like the professionals behind it. I can’t wait to see how I continue to grow and evolve in this ever-changing, fast-paced industry.
